Who We Are

Hoity-Toity began with pop vocalist/keyboardist Shelby Muniz, joined by former scene kid Tana Snyder on bass, rounded out by metal-shredding jazz school slacker Aria Hurtado on guitar, and bolstered by classical percussionist Terah Landy. Call them a musical chimera or a real-life Lemonade Mouth, these four strangers-turned-bandmates merged their disparate walks of life into an eclectic yet accessible mosaic of sounds.

Fusing vicious rock riffs with sugary pop hooks and an irresistible groove, the band’s sound has matured since they first hit the scene as teenagers. Hoity-Toity was initially the brainchild of teen punk drummer Kelsey Caselden, who has since separated from the band to pursue her own career. From the bare-bones powerpop of their 2016 self-titled debut to the alt-rock stylings of Not Your Kind, the band returns in 2023 with the As Above EP and a fully fleshed out and evolved take on their old formula. Onstage they perform with cartoon-like energy, a glam-inspired image, and a healthy dose of banter. Hoity-Toity’s debut EP was released at the Pomona date of Warped Tour 2016, and since that festival, the girls have shared the stage with legacy acts such as Great White and Alice Bag, as well as friends on the rise like Pinkshift, Crimson Apple, and Chase Petra. The band spent the first half of 2022 touring alongside Crawlers, The Aquadolls, and Sitting on Stacy.
